In order to publish on the blog, go to "Blog This!" located in the upper center of the screen, and click it. A new window will open up, and you should be able to select (from a scroll down menu on the top right, the "Smith Family Connection" blog. Just select it, and type your message. It will then ask you to republish the blog, and do it.

If you want to get fancy and add a picture, just click on the "Blogger" icon in the top right of the "Blog This!" window. It should open up a new screen. Click on the SFC blog and yet another new screen should open. This final screen will have four tabs on it, Postings, Settings, Template, and View Blog. Just go to Posting and Create, and you'll be able to Compose a new entry and add photos with the little landscape-looking-picture icon next to the eraser icon.

Just fool around a bit and it should become pretty easy.
